When Mary reached out to me to take their portraits I was so excited. She told me her vision of walking in the forest just being in the trees with her husband and dog and let me tell you I was beyond excited!

Mary and Matthew wanted to have a session in the cabin that they were staying in followed by a dreamy forest couples session.

We started off at the cabin for some beautiful cabin porch moments with their doggie.

After hanging out at the cabin we adventured into the forest. We walked along the creek, played in the water, and then played fetch with any and every stick that we could find.

In all my years of living here (yes, I was born and raised here), I didn’t know of this little spot nestled in the trees near Pinecrest lake.

An evening walk in the meadow

We ended the session with an evening walk through the meadow near Pinecrest lake. It was such a beautiful meadow with the sun hitting the pine trees just right to give them an alpine golden glow.

The flowers were blooming and the breeze was just right. Everything about this evening was dreamy.
