Ok, so this was such a random, super fun, spontaneous session!!!

Story time:

Last weekend, I went down to San Diego with my very best Megan to see my other very best friend Christy. This trip was a girls weekend trip and a birthday celebration. It was so much freaking fun! For a little back story, I have known these girls since I was in first grade. Yes, I have known them for 28 years!!! Freaking 28 years! Like what is even happening?

So, obviously we had a ton of freaking fun. I love when you can not hang out with someone for months and months and months and then when you see them, it is like you have never been separated. That is how it is with Megan and Christy. I can be my full self. Not hide anything, not worry about what they are going to think, not try to be politically correct, just be …. Me….

We spent the weekend together and on talked about all the things. We had discussed life, boys, love, loss, friendships, food, work, pretty much everything under the sun. We made plans for future get together’s and other fun things.

We also started talking about photoshoots, styled shoots, models, and so forth. It just so happened that Christy needed updated headshots!!! Heck to the freaking yes girl!!!

So obviously, I had my camera with me on girls weekend hahaha. Ya, I pretty much don’t go anywhere without it. With that being the case, we made a plan to get some headshots taken before I left town.

The morning I was leaving, we were all getting ready for breakfast and decided this would be the perfect time to get some headshots! So out the front door we went! I scoped the area looking for some of the best places to take photos and marked a few spots.

It was like 11…. yes…. we were headed to “breakfast” at 11. Don’t judge ;)

The light was super bright and harsh, we were in a subdivision, just outside of Christy’s house, and we got some of the most badass photos! I can’t even tell you how stoked I am.

I just want to remind you, you do not have to be in epic places to get epic photos. You can get amazing photos anywhere! Seriously though. Please do not let your location deter you from trying to get photos. Do not let the harsh light deter you from shooting! Work with it!

I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you did don't forget to subscribe to my blog in order to get updates when I post something new. If you are looking at getting your portraits taken please feel free to contact me. I would absolutely love to talk to you... and if you are on the fence about getting your portraits taken you shouldn't be. These moments are fleeting moments. Make sure to document these moments. You, and your family, will cherish these images for generations to come. #existinphotos

Wishing you all nothing but the best,

Bessie
